Here we are at the Stay Inn in Chicago! Today we roamed the Navy Pier and Michigan Ave. The girls have been great--ear budded and slumbering on the bus, staying in pairs and foursomes when shopping (but saving $ for Italy)and always on time. We had dinner at Ed Debevic's--a 50's era diner and were entertained by the wait staff. We leave for the airport around 11:00 a.m. tomorrow and then our 10 hour plane ride. So far it's been seamless :)

I've been reading about savvy traveling in Italy and found a number of recommendations about bringing insect repellant and wet wipes. Never having been to Italy, I can only pass along the advice and you can decide if you would like to add these to your packing list.
